You guys! I am SO excited to finally share this extra special project I’ve been working on!!!
As you well know by now, it is the season of gift-guides and wish lists… It seems Pinterest is especially focused on helping moms give their child’s teacher the “perfect” gift. While I appreciate that sentiment – obviously – most of the time, it’s all wrong… There’s absolutely NO need to spend hours crafting or baking, give me a Starbucks gift card (don’t let anyone tell you that it is impersonal or overdone) and a nice note, and I’m as happy as can be! Seriously. (Heck, as a secodary teacher, give me just about anything, and I feel like the luckiest person in the world. #highschoolteacherprobs)
But just for kicks this year, I started brainstorming what would be the PERFECT gift for a teacher to receive. Admittedly, my list became a little outlandish, but it was so fun dreaming about some of my very favorite things that would, truly, make any teacher swoon.
Then, because I’m wild and will do just about anything to put off grading research papers, I decided to actually attempt to create the DREAM TEACHER GIFT BASKET… I reached out to several of my favorite brands, and – thanks to their generosity + a few bonuses from yours truly – I was able to curate an AWESOME (if I do say so myself) collection of goodies for teachers. Any one of these things would make an AMAZING gift for a teacher; but, today, right here, one lucky reader/teacher is going to win THE WHOLE DARN THING.
Yep, you read that right – I’m giving away ALL of the items shown below.
Let’s break it down… What’s included?
Anthropologie Golden Apple Candle – This is the actual gift I gave Sam’s teacher this year. It smells SO good, and it’s way prettier and more exciting than giving a teacher an actual apple. 😉
$10.00 Starbucks Gift Card – because we’re all surviving on Gingerbread Lattes this time of year and no dream is complete without Starbucks
‘You Got This’ Mug from Ashley Brooke Designs – Obviously this would work wonderfully for holding your morning (or afternoon or evening) joe, but I especially love it sitting on your desk filled with pens etc. as a constant motivational reminder that you WILL – eventually – catch up on grading. 😉
Paper Mate Flair Pens – Speaking of pens, these are my very favorite for marking student papers, and my students share my love for them. You’d be surprised how hard they will work for me if I let them write in purple or green!
One Delightful Button Druzy Studs – because teachers deserve a little sparkle too! (I have a pair of these myself, and I love them! They add the perfect amount of flair to an outfit without looking flashy or overdone.)
LulaRoe One Size Leggings – I knew I had to include these buttery soft leggings since I’ll be putting mine on as soon as I walk in the door after school tomorrow, and not taking them off until January 2nd. *Only a slight exaggeration. If you haven’t already jumped on the Lularoe band wagon, be warned, these leggings will steal your heart.
MayDesigns Teacher Lesson Planner (in Emily Ley Happy Stripe) & Teacher Sticker Pack – Y’all, I was SO excited to get this in the mail and check it out for you… From one of my very favorite brands, this soft bound large notebook features a monthly spread at the beginning with room to record student birthdays as well as your own goals and reminders, a week spread with space to write plans for five subjects, and designated grid pages for all the extra notes etc. you need. Plus, this particular one is part of MayDesigns collaboration with Emily Ley and features her classic Happy Stripe. I LOVE IT. *The Teacher Sticker Pack isn’t shown, but – trust me – they are adorable!!! Ideal to dress up your plan book OR add a little fun to your students’ work, I can’t wait to use these myself!!
And from Emily Ley – who was incredibly generous and wanted to TOTALLY SPOIL teachers… *affiliate links below*
A WEEKLY SIMPLIFIED PLANNER (in fuchsia leather) – I’ve been using the navy Weekly planner since August, and I love it! This one started in August 2016, but it goes al the way through December 2017, so you’ll still be able to get LOTS of use out of it. It includes a two-page calendar spread for each month plus one week per two-page spread. Emily Ley thinks of everything – the paper quality is top notch, the design is beautiful, and the details are perfect for a busy teacher (or mom, student, etc.) You CANNOT go wrong with a Simplified Planner, and I’m SO excited to share my love for this brand with you!!! (FYI: Full review and sneak peek of my 2017 choice coming up next week.)
Happy Stripe Pen – As you well know, I’m pretty picky about my pens, but I tried this one out a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised by it! Not only is it adorable, but it writes smooth and sharp. I’m hooked. I keep this in my purse all the time and use it all the time! (*Don’t grade papers with this though! Too fancy. Use the markers above for that and save this for writing in your planner, journal, etc. instead.)
Blue Page Marker – This is a little magnetized clip that can mark a page in any book or notebook, but I use mine – obviously – in my Simplified Planner to connect the calendar spread to the weekly pages.
Heart Paper Clips – A teacher can never have too many paperclips; and, the way I see it, if you’re going to have tons of papers to keep up with, you may as well have a pretty way to do it! These heart paper clips are perfect for stashing notes, coupons, etc. inside your planner OR clasping stacks of work to be graded, etc.
Pretty good, right?!
One more closer look now…

I know it’s a super busy time of year, so I want to keep this as simple as possible… All you have to do is leave a comment below with your name and what grade level/ subject you teach. *** If you aren’t a teacher yourself, you can enter a teacher-friend or even your child’s teacher – just comment with your name AND hers (plus, if you want, tell me why she deserves this)!!
