It’s Wednesday, so let’s talk wardrobe… Specifically, let’s talk about your favorite jeans.
I’ve been (happily) wearing maternity jeans for the last year, but it’s beginning to be a little awkward, so I’m on the market for a new pair (or two) this fall.
In general, I prefer skinny/ankle-length and dark wash. (Is that so 2014? I just can’t get into the return of flare jeans. Or light wash. Both look good on other people, but I feel like flares require heels – which I never wear – and my tops never look right with the lighter denim. What do you think?) I have a pair of distressed jeans that I like for the weekend, but I need something a little “dressier” to wear to work on Fridays and/or out on the weekend. Ideally, I’d love a cute pair I could cuff to wear with booties (if I get brave enough to try them) too. Also, I’m OK with spending a little extra money on good jeans that I’ll wear a lot and love, but I’d still like to stay under $100….
Here are a few pairs I’m considering:
(My sister swears by these.)
Wit and Wisdom Stretch Denim Skinny Jeans
(Highly recommended by Shaeffer from Pinterest Told Me To)
Madewell High Riser Skinny Skinny Jeans
(I admit “skinny skinny” scares me a little, but I’ve heard great things about them.)
So, do you have a favorite pair of jeans you can recommend? Any tips for finding the perfect pair?
Thanks friends!

The LOFT jeans are my #1 faves! They fit my hips and are generally the right length for me (I’m short, and jeans the right length are very unusual!!). Definitely recommend them. In fact, just bought maternity LOFT jeans, and they are the only ones to truly fit me, too. Winning again.

I love the Girlfriend Jean from the Gap. I have such short legs, that the bit of crop hits right at my ankle above my shoe (perfect for flats!). And they’re fitted and tapered at the ankle, but not “skinny” skinny. The Gap also has a fitted straight leg jean too that I’ve been eyeballing.

Slightly embarrassing, but my favorite jeans are the same jeans I bought in high school- from American Eagle. They have a short length & are really the only jeans Ive been able to find that fit really well, keep their shape, wash well & are relatively inexpensive. I go with the jegging kind now (that freaked me out for a while, but it just means theyre super stretchy!) & they have cute colored ones (just bought plum and kahki for school). Also like that I can try them on in the store and then once I know the fit and size I like, I never have to go back and can shop online!

i am kind of passionate about jeans. My faves are ag and j brand, which are crazy expensive, but I’ve had really good luck on eBay (but you’ve gotta know your size!). Might I suggest the buckle? I went with a friend last week and she tried on about 15 pair and found such a great brand for her body type. Kim? I think? Anyway. Best of luck!!! Let us know what you decide!:)

I’ve had great luck with jeans in my Stitch Fix box. If your interested in getting another one of those, let them know what you are looking for and they usually do a good job.

I love old navy jeans! The sweetheart fit is my favorite for bootcut and I like the rockstar for skinny jeans.

Yes. Clearly, as stated above, I looooove LOFT curvy skinny.. they’re the best. I swear by those, and I’ve actually started really liking Limited jeans..

I’ve had fantastic luck with the jeans in my StitchFix boxes. I’m still rocking the maternity jeans right now but I also love Gap and Lucky Brand jeans (Luckies are expensive but soooo worth it. They last forever. And you can get them on sale if you’re patient).

I agree with the StitchFix jeans. The pair I got from that box is definitely my favorite pair. I have also had good luck with Old Navy skinny jeans. I am with you on the dark wash, and they have a pretty good array to choose from.
