Happy Friday! It’s been another week of bad blogging around here. I really want to apologize; but, instead, I’m just going to say that I’m doing my best. This is a busy season and, unfortunately, the blog is often one of the first things to fall off my plate when things get too full. To those of you that are still here, THANK YOU. I’ve got my new blog design ready to roll next week (for real), and I’m just going to keep on keepin’ on in this space giving it what I have to give when I have to give it. I hope you’ll stick with me!
Now, moving on… I’m posting my links and likes early this week because we are leaving as soon as Jeff gets home from work today for a little getaway in the mountains with his family. It’s a lot of work to pack up the kids for two nights away (can I get an “Amen”?), but I am so looking forward to the trip! I hope you’re doing something fun and relaxing too!!
Here are my favorites from around the web in the least seven(ish) days. It’s a big list this week so, go ahead, pour yourself the BIG mug of coffee! 😉
Links:
“Having It All Kinda Sucks” – I already shared this on my Facebook page, but I definitely wanted it included here too. I can relate to some of this so clearly that I almost ached reading it. There are other parts that don’t describe my situation at all; but, overall, I really liked the perspective the author gives.
An introduction to Glennon’s new book – I don’t know if this is all one big publicity stunt or what, but I was following G back when all the “action” of this book went down, and I’ve been waiting for the story. Stunt or not, she’s hooked me. I love her heart and her words, and I will definitely be ordering Love Warrior.
“Tween Allowance: The Salary Method” – I’m bookmarking this for the future (Jeff will be so impressed).
“Sheets: A Love Letter” – My step-cousin (is that a thing) recently published a photo book he originally made for his wife for Valentine’s Day. It was featured on a blog last week, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. The concept is so simple, so ordinary, but so beautiful too.
“Trajectory Shifts” – Many of you followed my friend Libby’s story years ago when she bravely fought Lymphoma. Now she is celebrating FIVE YEARS of being cancer free, and she’s blogging again!
“Pretend Play Is Boring: How to Actually Enjoy Playtime with Kids” – I needed this, and I got some really good ideas from it!
“A Half Cup of Coffee: New Perspective on Our Interruptions” – If you are a momma in the trenches, you NEED to read this today. Trust me.
“Our Love Made This Chaos” – TEARS (in a good way)
“Colic and Stories” – Ok, first of all, this blog knocks it out of the park every.single.time. It’s definitely one of my top five reads! And this post? I couldn’t love it more. You already know that I have a soft spot for momma’s of colicky babies, but this is GOOD.

Go Noodle – I seriously wish I’d known about this years ago! Sam played it for HOURS on our snow days earlier in the week. It kept him entertained and made me feel like a darn good Mom because he was getting so much exercise. #winwin (Also, we both woke up sore on Wednesday!)
How adorable is this little red-headed doll on sale at Land of Nod? (My little red-head might just need one for her birthday!)
I’m dreaming of summer and eyeing this one-piece bathing suit (and this one).
I’m thinking about trying Prep Dish in March. Have any of you used it?
My favorite Salt Water Sandals are on sale at Brickyard Buffalo for a few more days!
The Sorta Awesome Podcast is becoming my go-to for easy recipes. I made Megan’s favorite jackpot crustless quiche on one of our snow days last week, and it was sooo yummy. (Both kids gobbled it up too!)
If you’re in the market for maternity pants (I’m not), JCrew has theirs on super sale (like, $20 with code) right now.
And there you have it. Have a great weekend!

And P.S. Heather had her baby!!! Welcome sweet Natalie Grace!! (Isn’t Natalie Nelsen just the best name you’ve ever heard?!?!)
