Happy happy weekend friends! Unfortunately, we are reverting back to winter around here for a few days, but we still have some fun plans to check out our beautiful brand new library down the street (yes, it’s a dream come true!), attend a friend’s birthday party, and see some cousins from out of town. BUT FIRST, here’s a quick round-up of my favorite links and likes from the week. Enjoy!
Links:
“My Toddler Watches All the TV She Wants and I Think It’s Making Her Smarter” – Obviously, I can see the problems with her argument, but, I also agree with a lot of it; and, regardless, I think the perspective is refreshing…
“3 Simple Steps for Teaching Empathy in the Most Authentic Way” – I think about this a lot and found this advice practical and applicable for my parenting right away!
“Moms, Sometimes Doing the ‘Right’ Thing Is Wrong” – Amen!

Emily Lex wrote about this iPhone case/wallet yesterday, and I think she’s just about convinced me to try it myself. (This one seems pretty great too.)
I don’t think I ever shared these beauties that our sitter/my friend gave me as an early birthday present. I got a pedicure this week, so I’m excited to finally bare my toes again!(She gave these to Nora so we can match too. I died!)
I have this tunic already, but it is 50% off, and I love it so much that I’m thinking of getting another! (Also available in white and plaid here.)
Did you see that Emily Ley released a new product yesterday? These cute pineapple paper clips are $12 for a pack of 12 and would be so fun to use with your Simplified planner or any other papers!
I haven’t said much about it, but I’ve lost A TON of hair since Nora was born, and now my head is in a terribly awkward stage with baby hairs everywhere! It is strange because my hair got really long after Sam was born, but now it has hardly grown in length for over a year, and I kind-of hate it. Nicki Sebastian, on Cup of Jo, mentioned postpartum hair loss recently and recommended these supplements, but they scare me a little. I’ve also heard good things about Biotin. Anyone have any experience with either of them and hair growth?
I just grabbed these pajamas for both my kids (boys) as the final touches for their Easter baskets. I LOVE their message and that they match!!
Last one… I’ve mentioned Osmo on here before as one of our favorite educational toys/electronics for kids. It’s one of Amazon’s Deals of the Day today – 20% off making the starter kid only $65.00. I really can’t recommend it enough for 3 – 6(ish) year olds! *Note* You need an iPad to use this system.
Have a great weekend friends! I’ll see you next week for a post about why I went minivan (and I’m never going back), reviews of two books I’ve read lately, and reflections on Nora’s first year (#howisthispossible?)

Can’t wait to see what phone case you pick. I need a new one and thought about going back to a Spigen but I’m ready for something new (that will hold up when one of my two littles gets ahold of it!)

Oh I really appreciated that TV article! I agree that one could go overboard, but the overall sense that TV is one of MANY things my kids enjoy is so true. And that we need to not be so hidden about it.
We try to limit “screen time” at our house, but after 8 hours of playtime with friends and teachers and being social, sometimes what they need most is 30 minutes to just sit so they can keep it together through dinner!! Thanks for sharing!
