It’s the weekend!! I went to a super fun “Favorite Things Party” last night (pictures and details on Instagram), and we’re off to another (rainy) wedding this afternoon; but, for now, I’m thoroughly enjoying my sofa and pajama pants. Here are a few of my favorite things from around the internet for you to browse with your slow Saturday joe:
Links:
“Body Image after Baby” on MarieOsborne.com – My blog-friend Marie is doing a beautiful 31 day series on body image and “loving your reflection”. This is my favorite/ the most applicable to me right now, but I’ve loved ALL of them this week.
“What It Means If You See a Teal Pumpkin This Halloween” on Mom.me – I’m going to do this this year. I hope it catches on!
“Five Perks of Having Kids with Big Age Differences” also on Mom.me – You know this is a topic I care about, and these are great points!
“The Secret to Raising Your Kids to Be Kind” from The (Reformed) Idealist Mom – Kindness is probably the #1 trait I want Sam & Nora to have, and I love these (very practical) ideas. Kelly even includes a free printable of 40 conversation starters to use with your family.
“This Time” by Sarah R. Bagley – beautiful.
“How Do You Grieve a Friendship When You Never Wanted to Let It Die?” by Laura Turner for Jezebel – a hard, but real thing we don’t talk about much
(And, if you missed it yesterday, check out my fun “This or That” answers on Notes from the Nelsen’s.)

Oh man, I love this. Is there such a thing as too many heads in one house?
This – just when I thought I had all the Aden + Anais one baby could possibly “need.”
Speaking of having too much for that baby, I love this great collaboration.
And for mama, how great is this fun new PLAY line from Shabby Apple? (Dresses especially made to be thrown in the washer and dryer – YES.)
I’m ordering this tunic – a great price from Anthropologie, excellent reviews, and long enough to wear (appropriately) with leggings.
Loft has EVERYTHING 50% off this weekend – a great time to buy these jeans (mine are on the way). I also highly recommend this top.
And, I think I’m going to wear this dress to the wedding today (with my rain boots).
Alright. Have a good one! Stay dry!

P.S. South Carolina, we haven’t forgotten about you! Check out this page – from a church I love in Columbia – for three tangible ways you can help from near or far.
