Happy Saturday (finally)! In case you couldn’t tell from the blog crickets lately, it’s been a doozy of a week. I just told Jeff yesterday, “You know I’m really busy when I’m not blogging, because I always make time for blogging.” It’s true.
Anyway, we’re all busy, and maybe next week will better; but, in the meantime, here’s some good stuff from people who were writing last week:
Links:
“The Five Areas Where I Can’t Afford to Be Low-Maintenance” from Modern Mrs. Darcy – What are your areas?
“In Defense of the Princess” by Katie Blackburn for Coffee + Crumbs
“How to Beat the October Blues & Regain Your Enthusiasm for Teaching” on The Cornerstone Blog – See above intro. I didn’t know “October Blues” were a thing, but man are they EVER.
“Let’s Be Careful with our ‘Dear Mom Who ____’ Posts” by Lauren Casper – I’ve actually been thinking about this topic, but she puts it perfectly… Let’s just always err on the side of love and grace because, really, you just never know.
“You’re Doing Your Best” by Sarah R. Bagley – this is so sweet and so true. Sarah just had her third baby, and she was such an encouragement to me after Sam was hard, and I was nervous about managing two. If you are a parent, especially a brand new one, read this.
“The Keeping Room” from Emily A. Clark – I really like this idea
“My Girl, My Grief, and My God” by Kate Kelty – a beautiful post in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day last week
“Why White Parents Won’t Choose Black Schools” by Abby Norman for Huff Post – powerful
“On Friendship and Being Known and Letting Go” on Jones Design Co. – YES. all of it.
And a few Likes for your virtual shopping bag:
I’m a little obsessed with longer-length mixed-media tops right now – especially this one that Shaeffer posted about on Facebook yesterday.
This shirt – If I add a little leather patch on the shoulder I can justify another striped shirt, right?
Druzy earrings on sale ($13 shipped) AND $5 goes to World Vision to support refugees. I love talented people with beautiful hearts.
This tee looks SO comfy, I love the message, and it supports families dealing with infertility. Win.win.win.
Have a great weekend gang!

OMG … the October blues… #TheStruggleisREAL
– Love the Dear Mom read. Giving each other GRACE, support and understanding instead of judgement.
As a mom of two little girls the princess read also hit home. I am PROUD of a pink clad, sparkly, PRINCESSES!
