It’s mid-month again, so Heather and I are sharing our non-highlight reel from the last few weeks in hopes of laughing at ourselves, keeping it real, and proving that no one’s life is really all rainbows and butterflies (right?). We’d love for you to join us by linking up your own confession post at the bottom of this one or simply sharing one of your finer moments in the comments… Confession is good for the soul!
Here are mine:
– I have one week (or so) left in this pregnancy, yet I am considering buying another pair of maternity jeans because a.) there are some cute ones on sale at Old Navy right now, and b.) let’s be honest, I have no intention of wearing regular pants for a LONG time still.
– I really want my long-term sub to be good, but not too good. I’m worried that my students might like her better than me. (Such an insecure teenage thing to worry about, but the thought has definitely crossed my mind more than once in the last few weeks!)
– I deleted the Facebook app off my phone because I felt like I was spending too much time mindlessly scrolling through it. Now I just spend more time because I have to actually go through Safari and log in every time. #fail
– I kind-of love the Baby Center message boards.
– I cried at the dinner table twice last week because my three year old didn’t like my cooking. #hormones
I think that’ll do for today… Now it’s your turn! Grab the button below and join us!

Yay one more week! And you should totally get those new jeans from old navy! You can’t go wrong with new comfy pants and a little retail therapy 🙂 Can’t wait for baby to get here and to see Sam as a big brother! Good luck in the coming weeks

Hahaha you should totally go for the new maternity jeans. But also I relate to not wanting your maternity leave replacement to be TOO good- I felt the same way!!

Oh my goodness, I love everything about this. A. Get you those jeans! B. No sub is going to be better than you, so you’re in the clear there. C. I got so addicted to those Baby Center message boards when I was pregnant! And D. I couldn’t help but laugh at your last one- those pregnancy hormones are REAL! For what it’s worth, I don’t think Sam meant to hurt your feelings. 😉
Home stretch to meeting your sweet girl!!!!

So happy we were able to see you and catch up today! You looked great (smaller than I think you looked with Sam)!!!! Can’t wait to hear about baby girl’s hopefully soon and easy arrival. You are in the home stretch.
P.s. go for it with the maternity jeans– you want to be comfy

Pregnancy really has a lot of ups and downs, doesn’t it (just to clarify, I’ve never been pregnant – I’ve just been through it with my friends)! I can’t wait to hear the “the baby is HERE” announcement!
I would totally feel the same way about a sub!!! I’m sure your students will be missing you though. You’ve got nothing to worry about!
The FB app…I HEAR ya! I don’t have the app on my phone or ipad, but I try to log out on the computer so that I MIGHT be less tempted to just “see”! lol 🙂 It works and it doesn’t. It just depends on the day!

I LOVE the message boards!!! They are what get me thru middle of the night feedings! I like the practical advice ones, but admittedly I love the family drama ones even more!! It’s like a bad talk show on there!!
