I honestly can’t believe March has come and gone. What a month it has been!!
Today, I’m joining Heather at Notes from the Nelsens and sharing some of my favorite things from the last thirty days. When you’re done here, be sure to check out her list as well – she’s even giving away three of her items to a lucky reader (details at the bottom of this post).
I will probably do a whole “Baby Favorites” post next month (once I have a little more time and experience under my belt); but, in the meantime, here’s what I’m loving lately…
1. My new girl
This one is pretty obvious, but my favorite thing from March – by far – is this little girl (and her big brother and wonderful daddy). You guys, I’m totally smitten. I just can’t believe she is here, she is mine, and I can dress her in adorable bows* and take photos all I want!! Nothing else on this list even comes close to comparing to this favorite. 🙂
*My internet friend Jen owns the adorable Etsy shop Shared Joy that specializes in headbands and bows for little girls. Shortly after I found out I was having a little girl, she reached out to me about a new line of mini-bows she was working on, and I got to help with some of the colors/design/inspiration. She sent us a bunch to try out for Nora (shown above), and I LOVE them. Seriously, there might not be anything cuter than a baby head in a bow! Check them out in her shop if you are in the market for handmade, quality, and affordable “decorations” for your littlest one. 🙂
2. YES to Grapefruit Rejuvenating Facial Wipes
I bought a package of these to take with me to the hospital because they seemed convenient and grapefruit is my favorite scent (fun fact), and they did not disappoint. Not only do they smell SO good, but they also really are “rejuvenating” like the name promises and left me feeling super refreshed even at my very worst (i.e. the day after having a baby). I’ll be buying more, for sure.
3. BaubleBar Asymmetrical “N” Pendant
My sister gave me this necklace with Nora’s little initial on it for Christmas, and I put it on the day we brought her home and haven’t taken it off yet. It is dainty, and sweet, and easy to wear. I like it so much that I’m going to order myself another one with an S for Sam and wear them both all the time.
4. Amazon Whispersync For Voice
Have you guys heard of this? I first learned about it on Anne’s blog and recently gave it a try. Basically, when you buy a book for your Kindle on Amazon, you can add on Audible Narration for a super discounted price and listen to it through the Kindle app on your smartphone (you don’t even technically need a Kindle, just the free app). This is perfect for this season of my life when I have a good bit of “down time” but not much in terms of free hands for balancing a book. I’m only about 1/4th of the way through my first book right now, but so far the quality is great and it is easy to use. Not only is it SO much cheaper than buying the audiobook (the most expensive add-on I’ve seen is 12.95 which is still a LOT less than the 30.00 price tag at Audible.com), but I also love that you can easily switch between reading the book and listening to it. So great.
Bonus: I’ve gotten a little book-buying-obsessed lately thanks to Modern Mrs. Darcy’s daily Kindle deals posts. I bought another Liane Moriarty book (shown above) today for only $2.99 + $2.99 Whispersync – y’all that’s only $6 for a book AND an audiobook – at her recommendation. If you are a book lover, you should definitely subscribe to that page or just follow MMD on Facebook for daily links.
Well, there you have it! Short & sweet! 🙂 What are your favorite finds for this month?
And now for a fun give away!
Heather is going to send one lucky reader three of her favorite things from March – The Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD (which I happen to love also and will be starting SOON to get rid of baby weight), the Plus White Teeth Whitening System (I totally need this), and the OPI “Bubble Bath” nail polish (on my toe nails right now – no joke). This would be such a fun gift to win!!
To enter, complete the Rafflecopter entries below (it’s super simple) and don’t forget to check out the rest of Heather’s list on her blog.
Good luck!
