First things first… Let’s address the elephant in the room – the big ole ad that started showing up on my sidebar again yesterday… After much thought, I decided to transfer my old Blogher Ad Network membership from EM&I to Sam & Scout. To put it simply, blogging can be expensive. Between the cost of self-hosting on WordPress now, blog design, and (hopefully) attending one or two conferences in the next year – things add up fast! Since this is just a hobby for me, I need to make a little extra money just to cover my expenses here. I chose Blogher because it is simple – I get paid for the number of ad views – not clicks – and I really don’t have to do anything else. I also enjoyed working with them in the past and respect their business model, etc. I might, on occasion, pick up some sponsored posts/reviews for additional income, but I promise they will always be disclosed and will only be on products that I legitimately use/like and that fit the subject-matter and purpose of this blog. For now, I am not accepting any additional sidebar sponsors and NONE of my posts contain affiliate links etc. I hope you can understand and respect this decision, and I THANK YOU sincerely for your support!

We have officially booked our first flight (just a short trip to Florida) with Sam for mid June, and I’m already worrying thinking about it… I pinned this – from “The Rules of Motherhood” – to study as the trip approaches!
She has a year to decide, but I’m already casting my vote (sisterscandothatright?) for these beautiful colors – emerald, mint, & peach – featured on “Little Black Book” for Kathryn’s summer wedding. Swoon. (How did I plan a wedding without Pinterest and blogs? Seriously?)
Storing toy cars (and doubling them as decorations) on the wall with an Ikea magnetic knife rack? GENIUS! Lots of great DIY Ikea hacks for kids’ rooms at “Handmade Charlotte.” (Started following this blog too – it is super cute!)
And, last but not least, a little motivation to stick with my healthy eating and exercise habits as the school year rounds out – this 2014 Swimwear Guide from “For the Love of” caught my eye. I especially love #7. 🙂
