Treat Yo’ Self: Mother’s Day with ModCloth

Completely Honest Disclosure: Modcloth is paying me a tiny bit of $ to write this post. I plan to use that money to buy Nora a new pair of light pink Crocs for the summer because Jeff keeps insisting that she wear SOCKS with her MOCCASINS, and I just canNOT do that to my girl. Thank you for supporting this cause by reading and clicking through the links – all to items I really do love, by the way – below. (If you’d like Nora to have something cuter to wear than Crocs – like, say, adorably tiny Saltwater Sandals – feel free to actually BUY something from one of those links. It’s a win for all of us – especially Nora.) 😉 For real though, check out my full disclosure statement in the sidebar and THANK YOU for reading.

As you know, Mother’s Day is just around the corner now (Sunday, May 8th). I posted my own Mother’s Day Wish List last week, but today I’m partnering with Modcloth to share some summer essentials – like sandals, swimsuits, and sundresses – that you would have bought yourself, but now you can call them gifts and everyone is happy. Cute things for you + no shopping for your husband/kids = 🙂

So, here are my favorites at Modcloth right now:

Lido Deck Lady One-Piece Swimsuit

I LOVE this sooooo much. It has stripes, adorable gold buttons, full behind coverage, and tummy-concealing ruching. Basically, it’s perfect! (The reviews imply that it works well for a larger chest area too.) Even better – it’s 20% off right now with the code FLOATON. (Yes!!) I already own a red and white striped bathing suit, but I might actually buy this one too because it just seems too great to pass up. (Here’s another great striped option in navy and white.)

Bathing Beauty One-Piece Swimsuit

This is such a classic look, and the reviews (especially for those of us with a mom-bod) are RAVING. It’s also 20% off (code: FLOATON) and comes in several different colors (I love navy) and patterns (flamingos, fruit, polka dots, etc.). *I know this is popular in the blog world… Do any of you have it?!? Would you recommend it?

Sunshine State of Mind Dress

Is this not the cutest, happiest summer dress you’ve ever seen? I love that it is youthful but doesn’t look like something one of my students would wear. You know? I’d pair it with heels for a summer wedding, a cardigan for church, or flip flops for a barbecue and get TONS of wear out of it! (There’s also a top in the same print that would look great with white pants!)

Really Swan Top of Things Dress

Another great dress that could even be worn to work with a jean jacket or cardigan (reviews say it is longer – hitting right at or slightly above the knee) and looks like it might be nursing friendly!!

Reliably Blithe Dress in Orchid

I love the simplicity of this dress paired with the scalloped detailing at the neck and that color is great! (It also comes in green, which I love too!) This would be beautiful at a summer wedding or shower.

Oh, Peppy Days Top

Is anyone surprised that I like this?! I’d wear it with bright colored chino shorts or cuffed jeans and flip flops every day. If I had the body to pull it off, I’d also LOVE it with a pencil skirt for work/church/etc.)

Cause for Cosmopolitans Top

This could easily be a summer staple with white pants, amirite?

Tropical Illusion Slip-On Sneakers

I don’t have any of these slip-on sneakers yet myself, but they are sure are popular among blog-moms and these – with gold pineapples (!!) – seem like a great first pair!

Salt-Water Sandals in Red

Ok, I DO have a pair of these sandals – in tan – and I ADORE them. They are super super comfy, go with everything, and are waterproof. (You’d be surprised how many times I find myself with wet feet with kids in the summer.) I’d love to have a pair in red to go with any of the above bathing suits or tops.

Gait by Number Flat

These look like a great every-day neutral shoe to wear with dresses, skirts, etc.

Darling Wedge

Or these… To be slightly more dressed up without sacrificing comfort (which is VERY important to me).

Ok, that’ll do it.

Seriously y’all, I could just keep going and going with this list. I like SO much of what Modcloth has to offer right now! I don’t know about you, but if I opened any one of these on Mother’s Day, I’d be as happy as a clam — even if I was the one that wrapped it! 😉

Go ahead, treat yo’ self! You DESERVE IT.
